We love our time here, we love the kids and this place.
Even so, we cherish our alone time.
Because we are house parents now, most of our time is filled up. We catch snippets here and there, but having total alone time?
Well, thats a real treat!
So we do what we need to do.
(He almost always makes faces like that when I take pictures. Silly boy)
We hop on the motorcycle, camera in hand, helmets on our head.
The drive to the beach doesn't take long. Andrews an expert at weaving in and out of the traffic, acting like he's lived here all his life.
We stop at a mini mart for drinks and continue on.
The beach is quiet. There are locals enjoying the last few minutes of daylight, fisherman pulling their boats in for the night and some vendors set up at the dock. We kick off out slippers (flip-flops!) and find a place to sit.
The sun is setting, but above it, the sky is still a beautiful blue and we have front row seats.
We crack open our drinks, toast to each other and Gods creation.
Life doesn't get any better than this.
As the sun slinks down, I can't help but singing
"Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
consider all the works thy hand has made.I see the starts, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my saviour God to thee,How great thou art.How great thou art,Then sings my soul, my saviour God to thee,How great thou art.How great thou art!"
